Use of Chinese Medicines during treatment
Origin understands that some patients may wish to take some form of herbal remedy, including traditional Chinese medicine, when undergoing IVF/ICSI. It is known that the constituents of such herbs are highly variable and some may also contain estrogen which can interfere and react with prescribed medication during IVF/ICSI treatment.
Origin would therefore advice patients NOT to take any Chinese herbal medicines in the run up or during their treatment cycle as these could seriously affect the outcome.
